Tariff
Our tariffs provide us with the opportunity for all cooperative board, staff and members to better understand the cooperative’s policies and procedures that allow for safe, reliable, efficient and economical electric service to be provided to the member-consumers.
What is a tariff?
A tariff simply means the entire body of rates, tolls, rentals, charges, classifications, rules, procedures, policies, etc., adopted and filed with the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) by an electric utility in fulfilling its role of furnishing electric service.
Electric Cooperatives are required to file their tariff with the board, and must maintain the tariff filing in a current status. The tariff to provide long distance service is filed with the board and also the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
