A third party has been making phone calls to our members claiming to be their local utility company. They ask for checking account information to avoid disconnection.

Hawkeye REC is a true Cooperative. It is a private, non-profit electric utility owned by the members it serves. Our membership covers a range of home, farm, business and commercial consumers in Howard, Chickasaw and Winneshiek counties.

The members ultimately control the Cooperative - people working for people.
