“Make the Burgers Stretch”
5 lbs. ground beef
1 T. salt
2 T. vinegar
2 T. sugar
1 c. water
½ c. Quick Oats
1 c. ketchup
½ c. onions
½ c. water
2 T. mustard (not dry)
Simmer first 6 ingredients. Boil next 4 ingredients to tender and add to beef. Oats will take up juice and make meat go farther.
