Ruby Red Cake
Cream:
1/2 cup Crisco
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together:
2 tsp. cocoa
2 cups cake flour
1 tsp. salt
Add alternately with 1-cup buttermilk. Beat with mixer. Add 1 tsp. soda in 1 T. vinegar (do not beat in with mixer, just stir in with spoon) Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees in two 9 inch pans.
