Crescent Roll Casserole
2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls
2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion (diced)
1 can Manwich
1 (8 oz. pkg.) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8 oz. pkg.) shredded cheddar cheese
Brown ground beef and onion and drain. Add Manwich and simmer for 15 minutes.
In a greased 9X13 pan, use one package of crescent rolls. Stretch and spread out to cover bottom of the pan. Pour meat mixture over the layer of rolls. Sprinkle cheeses on meat mixture. Cover with second layer of rolls, stretching and spreading to cover meat.
Bake at 375º for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
Options:
1) Leave out onion
2) Leave out Manwich and just add salt and pepper to meat to flavor (for picky eaters like my kids when they were younger!)
3) Substitute Manwich with 1 pkg. of taco seasoning (follow directions for tacos on the package)
4) Substitute Manwich for 1 can of diced tomatoes
