Paulette's Lasagna
Mike Walton-Line Superintendent (Favorite recipe that his wife Jill makes)
This is my Mom's recipe and one of Wally's favorites. It's even better the next day warmed up!
1 lb. ground beef
1 jar spaghetti sauce (I like to use Prego)
9 lasagna noodles
1 24 oz. container of cottage cheese
1 lb. shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic salt to taste
Brown ground beef and drain. Sprinkle dash of garlic salt to taste. Pour jar of spaghetti sauce into ground beef, stir and let simmer on low. Cook lasagna noodles as directed making sure to salt the water for taste. Rinse with cool water. Use a 9x13 greased baking pan. Place 3 lasagna noodles on the bottom of the pan. Cover with half of the meat mixture. Top with a layer of cottage cheese and a small sprinkling of mozzarella. Repeat the next layer the same way. Top with last 3 lasagna noodles and remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375 covered with foil for 45 minutes. Remove foil and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes to brown the cheese. Remove from the oven and let stand for 15 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
This recipe also works great made ahead and refrigerated. Pop into the oven when needing a quick meal.
