Smorem
(great with fresh strawberries)
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 c. flour (more or less)
Beat eggs, add sugar and salt. Mix well and combine gradually with the flour until batter is like thin pancake batter. Using a deep heavy skillet, add a good layer of grease, oil or shortening. Heat skillet to hot and add batter. When batter shows brown around the edges, flip the Smorem and allow the other side to brown. Then start chopping, do not allow to burn. Chop using a knife or sharp edged turner. Soon you will have a pan of browned kernels of dough, each about the size of a dime. Serve immediately. Good with syrup, jam, honey, or prepared strawberries, well sweetened.
