Upside down Apple Pie
6 T. butter (melt & divide)
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. chopped pecans
Double pie crust
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
¾ t. cinnamon
5 Lg. Granny Smith Apples (cored & cut)
Preheat oven, Coat pie pan with spray and line with wax paper, then coat with spray again. Combine 4 T. butter, brown sugar & pecans. Spread in bottom of pie pan- put bottom crust over pecan mix & press firmly. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and remaining 2 T. of butter and mix well. To that mixture add apples and coat well. Spoon onto crust and place 2nd crust over the apples and seal. Cut slit in crust and bake between 1 hour and 1 hour and 15 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully loosen wax paper while hot. Allow to cool. Cut and serve warm.
