Waffle Iron Chocolate Brownies
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. shortening
2 eggs
2 squares chocolate
½ c. milk
1½ c. flour
1 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 t. vanilla
½ c. chopped walnuts
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Add chocolate which has been melted over hot water. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Add nuts and vanilla. Drop 1 T. on each section of a heated waffle iron. Bake 2-3 minutes. May be rolled on powdered sugar or served with whipped cream.
