Rushford power outage begins at 1 pm today
Cresco, IA | Rushford, MN (11:15 a.m. Dec. 7, 2017)— Earlier today the transmission line that has been blinking this week and affecting MiEnergy Cooperative members in Lewiston, Utica, Rushford and Stockton, blinked twice. Special equipment placed on the line Tuesday has helped isolate the problem area to a section of ITC Midwest’s transmission line near Rushford. While ITC still doesn’t have an exact cause for the blinks, they are sending crews to replace about a dozen insulators that may fix the situation. Dairyland Power Cooperative will also have crews assisting with the work. ITC is scheduling an outage for the City of Rushford beginning at 1 p.m. TODAY and it is estimated to take approximately six hours. The electric accounts affected by this outage will be within the City of Rushford. To make it clear, if you receive your electric bill from the City of Rushford you will be without power beginning at 1 p.m.
