Power blinks continue to plague Lewiston, Utica, Rushford and Stockton

Cresco, IA | Rushford, MN (10:30 a.m. Dec. 18, 2017)— Early Saturday afternoon the cities of Lewiston, Utica, Rushford and Stockton and the rural areas surrounding those cities once again experienced five electric blinks.

Fault indicators that were placed on ITC Midwest’s transmission line, which feeds into the City of Rushford’s substation, approximately two weeks ago indicate the problem area is between Good Shepherd Nursing Home and the city’s substation.

Rushford power outage begins at 1 pm today

Cresco, IA | Rushford, MN  (11:15 a.m. Dec. 7, 2017)— Earlier today the transmission line that has been blinking this week and affecting MiEnergy Cooperative members in Lewiston, Utica, Rushford and Stockton, blinked twice. Special equipment placed on the line Tuesday has helped isolate the problem area to a section of ITC Midwest’s transmission line near Rushford. While ITC still doesn’t have an exact cause for the blinks, they are sending crews to replace about a dozen insulators that may fix the situation.
