First Call Emergency Response System
Providing Personal Independence and Security

 

Hawkeye REC brings you the opportunity to maintain your independent lifestyle with your own personal emergency response system.

With the FirstCall unit installed in your home, you can get help anytime of the day or night. By simply pushing the special alert key on the Messenger or the large button on the pendant,your messenger will call the Cooperative Response Center's toll free "800" emergency number. A professionally trained service representative will be able to talk and listen to you through the high quality speaker phone that's built into the system. The representative will be able to summon appropriate help immediately no matter what your need may be.

How does it work? First Call

  1. If you need help, simply push the HELP button on the unit or the wireless pendant worn as a bracelet or necklace.
  2. Digital information (name, address and medical history) is automatically sent to the response center and they can converse with you through the 2-way speakers on the unit.
  3. Dispatchers are available 24/7/365. They will check on your condition and immediately call people on your pre-determined emergency contact list (close neighbors, friends or family members). In the case that no one can be reached, the appropriate authorities will be dispatched to your location.

Prices

There is an initial three-month lease period. This allows the client to try the FirstCall program before you make a commitment to continue.

3-month deposit & install fee required $136.47
*Free parts and maintenance

You pay nothing more for the first three months. At the end of that initial period, you may then choose to pay your monthly charge of $29.44 by mailing a check or you can have your monthly payment automatically deducted from your bank account.

The FirstCall emergency response system is available to both Hawkeye members and non-members.

Tips for our FirstCall Clients:

  • Remember to test your pendant one time each month!
  • We encourage you to test your pendant after a storm or power-outage. There is a back-up battery in the unit that will re-charge after the power is restored. If an extended power outage occurs, it is advised to make necessary arrangements.
