This summer, Hawkeye REC and Dairyland Power's 24 other member cooperatives will be taking the national "TogetherWeSave" campaign a step further regionally in the form of launching a new, voluntary load reduction program.
Please check out this program to help reduce power costs in the future, and specifically limit electrical usage between the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, during the summer months of June, July and August. It does not include holidays. Only you can help your cooperative in the future to reduce this single largest operating expense.

TogetherWeSave.com is a gateway for members to easily learn what they can do to save energy and the immediate cost-savings impact of those actions. The website offers everything from videos and interactive applications to an energy savings forum. Touchstone Energy Web TV (found under the "Watch and Learn" tab) is a compilation of more than 50 short how-to videos on topics such as lighting, heating/cooling, insulation, and many other energy efficiency topics. The library recently added dozens of new videos.
